My surgery date has been moved.

Well, I was scheduled for next Monday 8/28, but my Dr has been called away to speak at a confrence in Ohio. I guess that another Dr was suppose to do it and now can't. So, I've been bumped. Those are the breaks! I'm not really upset about it. Just aggrivated that I have been doing my 2 week pre-op diet too early. Although I did loose 7 lbs last week I was STARVING. Waking up in the middle of the night to the sounds of my grumbling stomach. I'm now scheduled for 9/11.

you'll do fine! You'll just be extra prepared with the extended time for your pre-op diet.

Laure, Sorry to hear your surgery was delayed but you'll be fine. That just gives you a bit longer to get your house & pantry in order before your surgery. Good luck with the pre-op diet - look at it as "training" for your post-op life! Vickie J.

Ohhhh I can so relate to how you feel. It has happend to me twice. I was supposed to have it aug.8th, but due to an injury, then moved it to the 29th and then last week it got changed again to the 30th.....I feel your pain....LOL.. It will be here before you know it...

Oh, gee whiz! Here I was, looking forward to you having it the same day as I am. I know how disappointed I would feel if my surgeon had told me today that I was going to be bumped. I'm so sorry to hear that. It has been a little tough on the liquid diet. I at least get to eat a meal at night, which helps. I'm very glad to hear that you have lost 7 lb. I have lost 6. Well, I will still be here to be supportive of you during your journey. I always try to be optimistic about things, so look at it this way. Perhaps it is best to have it by your surgeon, rather than another one. The one you have researched, and trusted. I hope your new date will be very soon. Sheryl
