questions for someone with amerigroup

i have amerigroup.. i am in tampa florida.. i need to know if anyone has had any luck with any surgery covered and if so, what did they request formyou ? how long did it take? thank you.. i am at my wits end i gott aget this wls!!!

Jennifer, Have you contacted Amerigroup directly to find out what their coverage criteria is? I would suggest this as your first step, if you have not done so already. If they cover if it is deemed medically necessary, then usually it isn't a problem. Just make sure that you cross every t and dot every i. Find out if they have specific criteria you must meet also. Get this from the "horse's mouth" so to speak. If they can send it to you in writing or you can download it off their website even better. Hope this helps, Julie
