Tell OH about the conference

I hope everyone filled out the form at the conference....I did...and I also emailed Monica privately what I really thought. I tend to be blunt and honest when I do it that way....I had some ideas about the conference.....what do you guys think about this... Have more than one session going at a time. That way the pre ops can hear a bariatric surgeon and ask questions...and post ops don't have to sit through it...have a PS speaking so post ops intersted in PS can ask questions...and those of us not interested in either can browse the vendors...and MORE vendors please. That would give speakers like Alix a lot more time to talk to EVERYONE about nutrtition and how and when to take supplements....and we could ask questions. I would have loved to see vendors set up to sell protein drinks and bars and vitamins at a REAL discount for the event. Where was Unjury and Susan Maria? There must be a reason the vendors aren't selling there. I was mesmerized by Alix Landman. To me, she was the highlight of the conference...I emailed a question I had....since we didn't get a QA period with her. It seemed to me that the major attendees are post ops....and what we need is good information about nutrition and vitamins and minerals and protein. She knows her stuff and she seemed educated in bariatric needs. Tell OH what you think....the confernces are getting better and better... I need the motivation and products.... Thanks Lauralyn.....I am so sorry I missed most of your presentation....Kathy and I were a bit late getting there.....I did catch the end though...and in my critique, I told Monica I think I missed something good....... I do positive affirmations in front of the mirror almost every day...I look myself in the eyes and do a little 'confronting' and lecturing. It works for me. My 'stright shootin' gets me in more trouble...... But I feel that if you don't tell the truth, and tell how you feel, things won't change. I know what I want and need, and I think a lot of other post ops need the same things....good information and MOTIVATION. For the most part, I felt the OH event was the most informative one I've attended. I enjoyed myself...I met some wonderful successful people.... Are you going to Lexington in October? Sorry you missed my talk; but ask anyone who was there to tell you about your reptillian brain and its role in the SELF-SABOTAGE that leads to YOYO dieting : My last OH show of this year will be the event in L.A. Sept. 9th. If y'all have friends out on the "left coast" who might benefit from a complimentary consult with me there, alert them to sign up EARLY in the morning! Ft. Lauderdale attendees set a new record in filling up my entire schedule by 11am! At least I got a fabulous view of the beaches, heck, the entire Florida coastline! from my window seat as Air Tran whisked me back to HOTLANTA Sunday afternoon. Lauralyn
