Hi to all: I'm having excessive gas almost for two weeks. I'm close two months post-op. I have try everything Gas X, switch to skim milk to Lactaid, bought the Lactaid pills and still with excessive gas. It's very sad, because I feel so uncomfortable everywhere I go. Now I keep thinking what to eat for breakfast?. I don't like eggs. My breakfast was 8 oz of milk 2 oz of cottage cheese 1 oz of blueberries But now what to do?. Lunch and dinner I'm ok with cold cuts (Boar's Head) and dinner could be steak or seafood. I can't eat vegetables it hurts my pouch. I'm drinking all my water and taking all my vitamins and minerals. I just don't know what to do anymore. I need help and soon PLEASE HELPPPPPP !!!! with your comments or experience. I was doing good with regular milk( skim milk ) this problem started two weeks ago. Thank you and have a great day, Heidi

Heidi, get back to pure basics, cut the Milk & Bluebeeries out. Sugar in fruit antway and all surgeon's suggestions are different. I'm on pure protein from day 1 to 12/18 months. Try just eating proteins only. In my family I'd be King with so much gas. LOL.

talk to your dietitian, because there are certain foods that will cause more gas, and its better to stay away from them at first because everything is healing and so new. Beans for instance, cauliflower and cabbage, see what insight they have. perhaps its dumping. or are y ou sure its gas? You should not be in pain. Perhaps you are eating foods that are too intense. Steak and cold cuts are pretty intense so early out. There is sugar in that boars head stuff and Iwas sensitive to it for the first 6 months or so,steak, well that is just too dense. Let us know. I hope you feel better. blessings Tami
