Hi yall did or has anyone taken a meds that worked well before WLS and not long after but then you stoped for a lil while and went back to them and they donmt work the same again .. Sounds crazy huh my paxil is not working the same now sara

i have to be kinda careful w/ seditives.... like nyquil and the pm drugs... im out in 10 mins... also when i was on lithieum... my levels got really high... so i had to stop taking it... i hope you get it strightned out... good luck lex

Sara, I took Lexapro 10 mg. each day before my surgery and it was perfect. However, I noticed after surgery it wasn't working that well and I had to increase the mg. I asked my Dr. about it and he said that your body goes through some pretty intense changes dropping all the weight and even hormone levels can get out of wack!

That is possible!! With our mal-absorption we can under absorp some medications or over absorp others. Always check with your medical staff/doc to see what goes in one way or another...sometimes its a crap shoot (hehehe) pun intended.... Just be careful...hugs

Remember that since you were off of them it will take 4-6 weeks for you to get the full effects from them.
