infection at tube site

I'm 3 weeks out I have an infection at the tube site I've been on cipro 500mg 2x aday for 7 days it's still painfull and I have a bit of blood .I'm having a hard time getting in enough water and protein .Going to see the nurse practioner today.HELP!

For the pain/discomfort, there is some kind of prescription "numbing" cream that others on the board have mentioned. I can't remember the name b/c I never had to use it, but others say it helps alot. Hopefully someone else will remember the name & you can ask your doctor for it. Hope you're feeling better soon! Vickie J.

Thanks for your reply . Nurse practioner thinks everything is ok. I'm not convinced but there's nothing I can do but wait it out.
