I tamed the beast~~~~
So I did it!!!!
I know you are wondering what I did....
For the first time in 7 years (Yes 7!!!!!!) I rode a roller coaster with over the shoulder restraints!!!! I know I whined and complained a month ago that I couldnt ride sheikra because it was about half an inch from fitting...
Yesterday my hubby and I took my little brother to Seaworld for his 11th birthday. Seaworld has Kraken. I told the hubby that if they had a seat at the front I could check out, I'd see if I fit. I didnt want to go all the way thru that line and then have it not fit again.. I couldn't handle the embarrassment.
Well, we got to the line, and there was a test seat, so I got in it, sat down, and buckled it right away. I just sat in the chair for a minute, pushing on it... thinking well, maybe it didnt snap... maybe this is all in my head... but I wasn't going ANYWHERE!! So I got out of the chair and ran back to my hubby... I was so close to crying.. I start screaming.. it fits ... it fits!!! He laughed at me and said.. well, silly girl, dont just stand around screaming, go ride it!!
I got all the way to the ride, took off my flip flops (floorless roller coaster) and was totally liberated.
My hubby asked me afterwards how I felt. It was the most exhilarating, liberating, totally awesome thing that has happened yet...
Thank you God for this oppurtunity, and thank you Dr. Jawad for making it possible....
Amy
I am so glad for you. I know how down you were last month about not being able to ride. But you did it. Just think you will never be turned away again. You should be proud of yourself. You have worked hard and deserve it. My husband and I love to leave the kids with someone so we can go to Wild Adventures and just ride roller coasters until we get sick of it.
WooHoo....Feels great doesn't it!!! I haven't been to SeaWorld...but I love zippin' around Disney going an all their roller coasters without problems...Aerosmith was awesome!...then we rode Everest twice in 1 day I couldn't believe it...I had never been on anything but one in a kiddie section at a theme park in Ohio.
