insurance?
Brenda have you've researched on the OH under Insurance and Surgeons for answers to your question. I checked Healthease and there are four entries on posted she had no problems with Healthease. As to Dr.Brient, he's listed but has not registered with the OH so no reviews on him.
Do you know of the Medicare Requirement started this year? Which they'll only Approve WLS by Surgeons/Hospitals which have received the "Center of Excellence" Awards.
How does your Primary feel about Weight Loss Surgeries? And will they Support your Efforts? And if so who will they refer you to use (that can be a battle)? If not you would need to change Doctors to one who will Support your wishes. Are there any Support Groups in your area you can attend to help you along the way?
Let us know how your doing and keep your profile Up to date as someday it will help another Wannabe. Good Luck, Mike
I havent gotten as far as a support group yet..I have checked the posts and see that Healthease has pulled through for one or maybe 2...
I havent spoken with my gp yet about this as I have to go out of town for a few weeks beginning Aug 16th thru Sept 1st..But some thing has to be done, so I began my research, maybe a wee bit early..(?)
I carry my weight all over which does help for the most part but, I have had a heart attack and a few TIA's..and my gaskets are gone in my knees which makes 98% of knee bending uneasy to say the least..and all gracefulness has walked away from me embarrassed...*smiles
Water activities are the only things that give me some improvement and keep me walking..
I guess I should just pick up the phone and begin making calls?
Thanks Mike...I never turn down a wish for 'good luck' or 'prayers'...lol
*smiles
