Review didn't happen...
My PCP called me about an hour ago regarding a question I had about a prescription. She also let me know that the review with BCBS did not take place yesterday because the person at my surgeon's office who was suppose to set it up didn't do their job. (like I'm surprised)
So it is now scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM. So I don't know what the person at BCBS was smoking yesterday who told me my case was sent back and I would know something in 24 hours, because I called them today to double check and make sure that my surgeon didn't call and do the review herself and was told that the denial still stood, and when I asked if a peer review had been done...he said "miss your doctor has to call in to do that" I was like o.k. Now when they do it tomorrow...if they are not told the answer immediately, I'll have to wait the weekend!!! 
For everyday later it takes to get the approval means the later my surgery will be and I was suppose to have it over the summer in time to be recovered for the start of the school year at my job (I'm working now but things are slower)...our student leaders already come back the 13th for training. Classes start the 28th. I already feel like I will have to be pushing myself as it is because really there is no such thing as 1/2 time or taking it easy at my job...things would be stressful...as soon as I get back for the start of the year. At this point though I doubt I get to have it done before then. So I don't know what I'll do I will probably just have to **** people off and take off anyway. I don't think they can technically tell me no, especially since they actually tried to tell me I couldn't take the 20th of July off because we had a retreat they wanted me at...well they got there way....so they will have to deal with the new date.
