Hi All, I went for all my pre op testing at Tampa General today. Everything went really well, took between 3-4 hours. A lot of sitting around waiting. The one test I was worried about was the blood gases (I had never had them done before and had heard from several sources that they hurt). However, today must have been my lucky day a guy that had been drawing them for 30 years did them and it didn't hurt much more than the regular blood work. So everything is ready. Two weeks from tomorrow I will be post op. The time seems to be flying by now. I hope everyone is having a great day. Patty

Woo Hoo Patty!!!! I'm so glad that you are finished with pre-op and on your way to the big day. You sure are lucky that the blood gas check didn't hurt because the guy that took mine hit a nerve and it shot down the side of my arm. We are close to our new begining, mine is 08/01...you already knew that lol! I'm so excited for us!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!! Life better watch out, cuz here we come!!!!

Patty, This is so exciting. I'm happy that your pre-op testing went so smoothly. You and Jerry will have to race each other around the TGH corridors! Good luck to you both! GladysS

Thanks Gladys, I know I can't wait. I have to be at the hospital at 5:45AM that morning. I am thinking it isn't worth going to bed. I usually don't go to bed until 1 -2 am and it takes a good hour to get there so it will be an early day. However I am glad I am the first case of the day, that way I don't have to lay around and worry for hours. Please keep me posted on your progress. I really hope you hear from your insurance company sooner than later. Best wishes. Patty
