I don't know what's wrong with me?
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I posted but once again I have been very sick. I am so upset that no one can tell me what's wrong with me. About a month ago I wake one morning in a lot pain in both myupper and lower abdomen, at first I thought maybe I ate something that my stomach didn't like. But it didn't go away, after 2 days in pain I had a ultrasound tech in my office check me. I started thinking maybe it was my gallbalder. she looked at it and said yes i think it might be. That night it got worse and my PCP was out of town so I was told to go the ER. I spent 11 hours in the er for the doctor to tell he thought I just indigestion and sent me home. 2 more days go by and I finally get to see my PCP who also thinks maybe it is the gallbalder. The next day I had a hidascan and an upper gi done. To find out that in fact my gallbalder was not working. I had surgery to remove and it has been 4 weeks since they removed it. I am still in pain on a daily basis. the pain on my side is gone now. The pain that still have is everytime I eat something or drink within 10 minutes I am in so much pain I can't even stand up straight. My have talked with my sergeon he said he check the bypass while he was in there and everything looked good. I don't know what to do now. I just don't want to hurt anymore!
One the brighter side I am 1 year 7 mon postop and I have meet my goal weight I finally made to 130 lbs. which mean I lost 125lbs.

Are you on an antacid like prevacid? After my gall bladder I had to be on prevacid and carafate. The stomach acid from my old stomach was too much and the prevacid got rid of that pain. The carafate got rid of the duodunal ulcer that had occurred. That could be the problem. I had the same type of pain. Keep us posted and call the doc and ask about that, ok?
hugs, Tami
