I had my surgery exactly a week ago today and I really feel good. I haven't had the stomach pain like everyone says they had. I have had been a little nausiated and light headed a couple of times but nothing really bad. The only thing I am going crazy about is when I can eat mushy food. Oh well I hope averyone has a great night.

Ok Patricia, your profile isn't filled out so we have no idea on which surgery you had. But the Nausiation & Light Headedness is due to you as many and myself, that were not drinking enough zero calorie drinks such as water or crystal light type drinks. As to the food, sorry but just follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do. My surgeon wouldn't release me from the hospital till I proved that I could eat & keep down solid foods such as scrambled eggs. It's part of the process with your new tooled body. Stick with it, ride out this process to success. Don't be testing stuff to see how your body reacts. You'll just be screwing yourself. Your now on the Losers train part of the Journey to Meltsville, Mike Will we meet you at the OH Conference?

Did your doc give you a post op eating plan? Right now, getting the protein drinks, water, vitamins and walking in is most important. You should be on some pureed foods soon depending on what your doc says. Your body is adjusting to alot right now. I am so glad you are feeling pretty good though. Keep us posted and we willcontinue to cheer you on1 Blessings, Tami

He told me to follow the clear liquid diet and come back to see him in 10 days. Well I go see him on July 19th, so maybe I can add more to my diet and ..... am I really going to say this- Go back to work. I actually miss work. Hopefully he will tell me I can. I don't do anything strenuous I sit at a desk and work off of a computer. No biggie. I can go to the gym in our office building and walk during part of my lunch hour. So I get my exercise in.

Patricia, I felt the same way the first few weeks after surgery. I really stuck to the liquid diet. I didn't have my first pain until I started eating other foods and just ate to much the first several times until I learned to listen to my body better. I am glad everthing is going well for you.
