Hotel for August 19th OH conference in Ft Lauderdale

I have contacted the Hampton Inn located one block from the Westin Hotel. If you call the hotel directly and tell them you are with the Obesity Help conference the daily rate will be $89.00 per night plus tax. That is much better than the Westin. You can also use any Hilton honors or rewards. The Hampton Inn provides free breakfast, free local calls, free internet and a local shuttle bus. You can go online and check it out. They do not pick up at the airport. The local number is 954-776-7677. Manager Leonardo Luengo. If you want to Meet & Greet on Friday night, the Westin has an open lounge right in the hotel lobby. Paula--That is great that you did this. I had pretty much decided not to attend because I just thought the price of the Westin--given the location,season and the fact that it is a week-end, was ridiculous. I stay in Hampton Inns often.

I have found a much lower rater at Days Inn for Florida Residents - www.daysinn.com/fl And I've sent an email in about Group rates. $50.79+Tax at 1595 West Oakland Park Blvd. 33311 - 5 minute/4.2 miles away. $63.75+Tax at 1700 West Broward Blvd. 33312 - 7 minutes/7.3 miles away. I'm also awaiting a reply for a group rate at the Best Western-Oakland Park Inn.

Good job Michael! Now there are plenty of options for everyone. I only picked Hampton Inn because it was so close to the Westin. Anyone without a car could walk to the Westin or take a shuttle bus. If anyone is interested in Days Inn do they need a code or contact person to get the rate? See you there, Paula
