Hello everyone. Is anyone here from Ocala and had the surgery with Dr. Jawad? Just wanted to get some info. I am just waiting for the insurance to approve it and then i am on my way.

Hi! I'm not from Ocala either, but I had Dr. Jawad. He is an awesome surgeon, and has a wonderful, very caring staff. Their after care program is awesome, and they get us in for check ups often. I am very happy with my choice, and if I had the chance to do it again, I would!!

Hi. I'm from Lakeland and I haven't had surgery yet (RNY date is 08/01) but my surgeon is Dr. Jawad and I've researched him well. He seems to have a very good reputation and his staff has been pretty great so far. Good luck with your journey.

Angela, You are in GREAT hands! I have had no issues with his entire staff. Everyone has been very supportive and overly helpful. I haven't met Dr. Shebani yet.. but I can personally attest to Kevin Noon. He is the most caring man! Thanks for the reassurance, Amy. I have been a "lurker" on Dr. Jawad's forum but it's really been helpful to read about people who have the same surgeon and follow the same rules. I have met Kevin and totally agree with you. He is such a positive person and that really helps me to have a positive attitude going into this surgery!

Angela you're going to love them!! And like Amy says you're in the best hands with Dr. Jawad!! He really is an awesome surgeon!! He has performed 2 wls on me and he also did my husband. I don't think I could trust anyone else!! And Kevin really is a great guy and they are all totally there for you no matter what time of the day it is!! I've had to call Dr. J several times in the middle of the night and he doesn't make you feel bad about it at all. They are all just great!! Thanks so much, Jo Ann. Your enthusiasm about Dr. Jawad makes me feel so good. I tried to make the best decision I could based on the information available about the surgeons that were in my insurance network-felt pretty good about it, but having you and Amy tell me about your personal experiences just makes me even more confident that I chose the right doctor/team. I will definitley stop in and say hi on Dr. Jawad's boards.

Hi. When did you get your surgery date? I am still waiting for mine and i hope that its around that time also.

I got my surgery date the same day I got approved by my insurance company which was around 06/21. I requested August 1st for my surgery date because that fits in best with my work schedule. I may have been able to get it sooner-I don't know. Good luck with getting your date. Let me know if it's the same or close to mine, ok?
