Welcome to the Florida Board Joyce. I am sure you will get some answers to your question soon. I am sorry I do not know anything about the doctors in that area. Are you looking for a surgeon or are you looking for a PCP who will refer you to a surgeon? Do you have insurance? Which one? Knowing these things might help get you the answers you need.

Joyce, I live in Naples. I use Patricia Polling at Physicians Regional in Naples. (This was the former Cleveland Clinic location). It is at exit 107 on I75 -- a bit of a ride, but she is familiar with WLS and issues of morbid obesity. There is also a support group that meets the 3rd week of every month there at 5:30 PM. It is called the 3 oz club -- for obvious reasons. There are between 15-30 people each month who come in for the meeting. Whether or not you have had WLS, you can attend and join the group to learn more.
I am a candidate for WLS with Dr. Liberman at Physicians Regional. I am close to getting insurance approval (I hope).

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I don't know yet if I'll have surgery...you guys are probably a lot younger than me (57)! I was doing great on a weight loss program then fell off track and guess what? GAINED IT BACK! RATS! Anyway, I need a doctor here and then maybe I can figure out my options. I have Blue Cross - PPO. Is this any good?
Hi, I am also new here! I had surgery 2 years ago in June! I don't know of any Dr's here yet for the surgery but I hope someone here does! Have you had the surgery yet? I live in Lehigh Acres, moved here from Ohio and I love it! Never been to Florida just decided to move here, best thing I have ever done. Anyway welcome to Florida I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I do! ~~Ann
