Don't feel bad at all. If it makes you feel any better you are not alone. I went to Universal Studios in May with my family. My husband was the one dying to go back so he can ride the hulk. He pulled and begged me to go along with him. I haven't had my surgery yet so at 333 lbs its pretty hard getting on roller coaster rides. The whole time I'm in line I'm looking around. I see all young kids and skinny people. The whole time I was standing there I started trying to figure out how was I gonna get myself out of this. I knew I didn't want to embarass him or myself. I tend to play things off in fat people bad situations. I laugh along or make a joke out of it, but inside it been hurts like hell. It was time to go on the ride and I took one look. In my head I said "Oh hell no". The seats were so small ! I simple waited until my husband strapped up and walked across to the exit. He looked at me in disappointment. I lied and told him I chickened out. To afraid to tell him the truth. I was too fat and could'nt get on. He doesn't want me to have the surgery ,but he doesn't know how it feels . It burns like someones stabbing you with a knife inside. Which procedure did you have? 65lbs that's very good. You'll get there. Keep up the good work. In no time you'll be riding and soaring.

Cherina, I had Lap RNY on 3/27/06 with Dr. Jawad. I've actually lost 79.5 lbs now! I weighed in again last night.. Look at my profile for new pix. I know how you feel about your husband not wanting you to have it.. Mine went through that.. and mostly he was just scared.... But from the moment I woke up from surgery, he was excited, and has been very loving and supportive. I sat down with my hubby on our honeymoon last october. I told him I was miserable and that I really wanted to have WLS. He was opposed to it, but as he saw me struggle that week, he finally understood. We started meeting surgeons, and he always came with me. He was able to ask any questions he wanted and for the most part, surgeon's answered him with tact and understanding. We did have one surgeon *****ally dissappointed us and needless to say, we didnt waste our time on him! Contact me if you would like.. I've been there. heck.. we've all been there!

I feel for you. I realized my weight problem at Universal studios.I had to use expanders and my ars just about squeezed into some of them seats. And the airplane wow I couldnt pull the tray down it hit my belly. I have a lap band. The weight is coming off slow but coming off. It is better for a 2 lb a week loss than a 10lb a week weight loss. Your stomach has a chanceto go down with the loss and excercise. Remember it dint take overnight to get fat and it will take time and determination to loss it. Keep a journal of your daily activities and monitor your food. You might want to do a week of protein shakes and then back to solid proteins. This can jump staqrt your plateau. Pj ps venting is good thing....

I'm not really on a plateau... I'm losing weight, its just because I don't have a scale, sometimes i can't weigh often.

Now to me being able to stand 45 minutes in line is huge WOW moment!!! I understand how you feel...I was so far past regular plus sizes that even after losing 100lbs + I was still wearing my pre-op clothes because they stretched or I was still in what seemed to be the same sizes I always wore. Heck I am just now getting into pants at Lane Bryant, it was a big deal when I could get into size 32 pants at Fashion Bug a year after surgery but it was also a let down here it was a year after down 170lbs overall and I can just get into a size 32!!!! What? But those pants were to wear for a job interview...hey I was going on job interviews...and they weren't going to see what size my pants were...so take it for what it is!!! You were out and about enjoying your new life!!!!...that half an inch will come soon enough....and next time guilt your husband into riding it with you...after all the disappointment you went through this time. Sarah
