anyone know a dr who takes medicaid medipass??

Hi I am new to obesityhelp.com .my name is leigh. i am currently looking for a bariatric surgeon in Florida that accepts medicaid medipass can anyone help me ??

I was going to do it w/ that insurance in 2002 at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston FL w/ Dr. Rosenthal but I didnt have enough co-morbidities in the eyes of medicaid : ( They are really great though at that hospital.....Good luck sweetie, I will pray for you.

Clevland Clinic no longer takes medicaid anymore. They are no longer taking people on the waiting list for medicaid. They did'nt get the contract. They have to be certified in excellence. Medicaid HMO have gotten really strict with the procedure. She has the best right now. Medipass or straight medicaid will pay for the surgery with less hassles. The only problem is medipass will be going through a reform on July 1, 2006. They are cutting it out. Everyone will eventually have to switch to a plan. They are really trying to make this things harder here in Florida. I dont have many comordities my surgeon requested me to switch from staywell. I did and he said he can get it approved, Staywell also called me with a Doctor.The last day I was with them.
