Hi, From what I understand and in the years that I have needed a nutritionist (for diabetes) most of them do not accept insurance, or insurances won't pay unless it is used for that type of service. But with Dr. J you know that you can use Jennifer, that's who Dr. J uses, she's about $125.00 for the consult. My hubby used her for his surgery. I used my nut with my endocronologist so I wouldn't have to pay for it and the insurance did pay for it, but I have United Health Care EPO. A few of my friends that have had WLS who had BCBS had to pay out of pocket for the Nut. It also depend on which BCBS you have. Sorry I couldn't be much more help, hopefully someone else can help you a little more. Good luck!! Jo Ann
