exclusion

After all this time the insurance said i needed 6 months diet history, they send the clinic an email stating they have an exclusion. (that wasen't there before). I am depressed............... I can't afford self-pay and I don't know what to do. Please help!!! I know a lot of people out there have gone thru this. Please don't let me lose hope. Thanks

Is your insurance, Humana EPO, through work? If so you'll need to talk with the person who handles the policies.

Does your surgeon have anything in writing that they sent when they said you need to have the six months diet history. And did they say a diet history or a supervised diet? Did you start a supervised diet? Has your company notified you of any changes in your insurance plan? Do you have your manual that outlines your coverage? What does it say about the treatment of morbid obesity? Details-- we need details. Red

My insurance has an exclusion as well. I have BCBS Health Options. Its very frustrating; especially after i finally made the decision that i would like to get the lap band done.
