Had final pre-op appt yesterday!!!
I admit I worry too much. My appointment with my surgeon went smoothly. I kept my calm and my surgeon was well, what she can be sometimes...nice! As for the surrogate...consent situation. She did a conference call with my mom and had a nurse in the room as a witness who signed the form in her place. Now she still wants my mom to attend a class if there is one offered while she is in town. O.K. we'll see, but I told her she will probably only be in town for 3 days. She will try to do my revision lap but there is a high possibility of going to open, and then she will also repair the hernia. She is concerned by what she saw on the ct scan of my abdomin. There was barium in a part of my intestine that is bypassed. She said this could have just been back up because of the pushing of the hernia...she will look more once inside. All I have to do now is wait for my insurance to approve it...and my pre-op diet of course!!! Tomorrow, I go to Orlando with my niece...vacation time...woohoo!!!!
