APPROVED! -and surgery is set for the day after TOMORROW!...

everything has moved SO incredibly fast, i am surprised at how easy the process has been for me. without a doubt, the worst part thus far has been waiting for tricare to approve or deny the procedure. i leave tomorrow morning for ocala~checking into a hotel, and will be pre-registering at the hospital and then taking the afternoon nutrition class for dr. overcash's patients. after that i'm eating, eating, and eating all of my favorite foods-up until midnight, at which point i have to drink that mag citrate...yum. not. anyone wanna come meet up while i'm at the hospital? my surgery is set for the morning of the 28th/weds. my dh is coming home from the ship to be with the kids-but won't be able to visit since it's 2hrs from home, and we really don't want the little ones in a hospital (germaphobe). let me know-here's my info: kathryn (kas is my nicname) davis-kelley monroe regional medical center weds/28th wish me luck on my journey -and thank you to all who have shared theirs! ~kas

OOOOH Kas - I usually visit OC's patients but will not be able to come out on Thursday. But I did wanna mention something you wrote which is VERY important. You wrote that you will be eating, eating, eating all your favorite foods til midnight....IF you do that............ plan on Sh...tting, sh...ting, sh......ting the REST of the night!!! And I believe.....your intestinal track has to be cleaned out before you have surgery cause if it's not your surgery might be postponed...........I'm saying it can be a possibility depending on how heavy the foods you are about to eat and being so late at night. I would try to get in the foods the days prior and earlier that day not the night of........ Best of luck to you and prayers. Keep us posted after surgery and your return on Friday or Saturday. I hope to hear good news!!!
