Has anyone tried the Profect protein shooters that are advertised on the left-hand tool bar here? I'm wondering if they are "drinkable". Seems like an awful lot of protein (25 grams) in 3 oz. Thanks for any feedback!

I tried them and took samples home from a Support Group that met in Brandon last year. They were good, had a little after taste. Came in four flavors. But gives you almost an instant energy boost. Good to have around for anyone on the go. Like road trips. Maybe they'll have them as samples at the OH Conference. Mike

I haven't tried Profect but I do drink New Whey. They come in 2 flavors and have the same nutritional values as Profect, plus I can buy them at my local Vitamin Shoppe. I do like the New Whey, bit sweet but it is only a couple ounces...I just drink it down and I am closer to my daily goal for protein intake. Tracey

Tracey that is really good to know. I didn't realize that you could buy them at Vitamin Shoppe. I went in one in Boston looking for them and they had never heard of them.

My thoughts are they are only a couple ounces, and being as I've tried a few protein mixes and can't stomach them, these might help out. I guess i'll keep trying different ones until i find the ones I can stomach. Thanks for the info.

I finally broke down and bought the 4 different flavors about 2 weeks ago. They taste like the clear pre-mixed Isopure drinks (a little mediciny). The only one that I liked was the Melon one (green). After drinking different kinds of protein drinks and not being able to tolerate anything but only mixing with water. I prefer my daily choice - Zero Carb Isopure in Vanilla (powder). I found that mixing 2 scoops with the Dannon Nectarine/PassionFruit yogurt smoothie, 7oz. That I get in 50 g. of protein just like that. So my opinion - Profect is nOt worth the hassle of ordering and paying big $ for the shooters. I have also found some "protein balls" from the local Wild Oats health food store - 15g of protein in a golf ball sized portion. They really dont have a "name brand" they just are sold either as one, or in a package of 8, 4 different flavors. Also, Walmart carries "PayDay" type protein bars, 15g. and Hershey has a "key Lime" bar - small portion and is 15g. Both are fantastic -found in the diet section by the pharmacy.
