I was approved!!! Phase II of my journey is about to begin!

Hi everyone! My name is Laura (33 y/o #269 5'6) and I'm from Orlando, Florida. I was just given the news that I was approved for surgery! The surgery scheduler will be calling me tomorrow so I can schedule my surgery (gastric bypass). Hopefully it will be soon. I'm sooooooo very excited, scared and nervous...... I'm looking forward to what lies ahead and need all of your support and guidence to get me through this. There is so much I don't know about this process. Woooooo Hoooooo!!! Here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cherina - thanks for the well wishes. The longest and most cumbersome part of this was gathering all the necessary documentation for the insurance company. They required six months of diet history, in addition to needing all the other stuff (weight from five years ago) etc.... Dr. Overcash submitted the paperwork last Tuesday and I received the call yesterday. My insurance is - Aetna POS. I need to call to schedule my date. Good luck on your journey!!! Laura

Hello, I have Aetna POS also.. It took them almost a month to deny me. I just sent my appeal in & fingers & toes crossed I will be approved this time. Good Luck on your NEW Life!!
