Hello "Florida" ET & family has landed in florida after driving 2735 miles from Ladera Ranch, CA I am a 6 mo post op with a weight loss of 80# Still looking for a FL Dr. Love E T fomally of Ladera Ranch, CA

ET, Welcome to Florida! Don't forget to "phone home" now that you've landed safely in the land of sunshine, oranges, mosquitos & hurricanes!! I can't help with a dr. recommendation b/c I'm in the panhandle area of FL, not close to you, but just wanted to say "Hi!" I'm sure someone will be able to help you out with a doctor's name. If not, find a good WLS-friendly PCP and touch base with your surgeon in CA periodically. A gal in my support group had her surgery in DC and does all her follow-ups via phone & e-mail. Come to think of it, I think the folks that has surgery in Brazil do the same thing. Vickie J.

Hi E T, Welcome to Sunny (HOT) Florida. I am not sure if they see post ops from other Surgeons, but Dr. Murr and Dr. Gallagher from Tampa General and USF are highly recommended. You might try them, if you are interested I can give you their phone numbers. Good luck and congratulations on your 80 lb weight loss. I am due to have surgery 8/2. Patty

Hey ET and welcome to Florida!! WoW 80lbs in 6 months that is totally awesome!! I don't know how far you're willing to travel for a doctor but you could always check out my doc in Ocala, he is absolutley WONDERFUL!! But aren't we all biased about our surgeons!! Or there's Dr. Kim here in Orlando associated with Celebration Hospital down by Disney. Just thought I would throw out some options for ya!!
