I've done better than I thought...

Hey everyone! It is good to be back on the board and getting excited about having my surgery again. As I said I have been very busy with a serious family crisis for a while now. I have been mostly in Georgia with my daughter for about two months and then I've been back and forth the last month. I will be going back up tomorrow or Thursday. My little grandson has a specialist appt. and I want to be there for that and he turns 1 on Tuesday so I can't miss that! Anyway I do have computer access there and I promise to try to stay around here while I'm in Ga. this time. I went and weighed yesterday and guess what? I haven't gained any weight while I was out of town!!! I am so happy about that. I had to lose 50 pounds so I can have a heart cath before my cardiologist will clear me for surg. I have only 16 more to go. I was so afraid that I had gained back 10-15 pounds over the last three months but I didn't. Thank the Lord! Anyway that good news pumped me up to get back on track and get that last 16 lbs off so I can get on with this thing. Thanks for the nice welcome back messages! I appreciate them and I have missed coming here. Kat

Kat, Congrats on maintaining your weight in spite of family crisis! I'm impressed! I'm a stress eater and that would've been very difficult for me!! Good luck & I hope all goes with your grandson's appt. Keep us posted on your progress as well. Vickie J.
