im still trying to find away to get the surgery done been trying everything but the only thing there is, is self pay and i already live paycheck to paycheck so i don't know i know i can go to mexico but still is alot of money..so everyone pray for me and maybe something will happen i will keep lookin ..gl all steve

Steve have you've been to many of the WLS Seminars in the Tampa Bay area? Which of the Surgeries were you thinking of & hoping for? There are some plans out there to borrow o receive some of the surgeries too. Mike

hi no i really haven't been to any yet but i want too. the surgery i was thinking about is the gastric bypass but if i can't get the money i would have to go for the cheaper one the lap band my problem is i work paycheck to paycheck and i can't pay for it and when i tried to get insurance they all tell me no cuz im to big..realyy thinking about mexico if i can get 12,500 to pay but people tell me no ...i really need help...

Steve, did you try going thru the State of Florida, Vocational Rehab office. I have a girl in my support group who had the surgery thru their office and they paid all but the nutritional evaluation. If you can convince them that you hard a hard time finding or a difficult time keeping a job because of your obesity, they will approve the surgery. It's sure worth a shot. La Wanda
