A little dramatic huh?? LOL!! But I am desperate!! Hello everyone! Ok, I need some help, I'm still on full liquids and will be for the next week and a half. My problem is that I am so TIRED of eating the same crap over and over again. There's only so much SF pudding, jello, cottage cheese, yogurt, you can eat. I'm at the point where I'm finding myself totally not eating because my stomach/body cringes at the thought of eating that stuff. I need something new and different, I just don't know what. I bought some baby food last night, but I didn't like any of the ones I bought so I threw them out. I did by some flavored grits. I haven't tried them yet, I'm saving it for dinner tonight, keep your fingers crossed. I HAVE to eat, I don't want to wind up malnutritioned and back in the hospital. I'm getting plenty of liquids, over 100 oz. a day, that's including my protein drinks, so there's no problem with that. So does anybody have any suggestions for something different?? Thanks I really appreciate any help/suggestions I can get!! Jo Ann

Jo Ann, I pureed Wendy's chili with a hot sauce and some cracker crumbles. It got me thru the ROUGH patches! Good luck! Amy

Those liquids are horrible and they seem to never end, but it will pass. I loved cambells broccoli and cheddar condensed soup. It was warm and it has a great flavor.

ugh.. I couldn't do soups.. (never have been a big fan though). I could barely do the chili.. but I liked the flavor.

This time is always the hardest cause it seems never ending!!!!!!!! But you will pull through...can you do mashed potatoes at this stage? maybe make them a little watery - maybe... what about cup-a-soups?, there are other soups you can try like chicken noodle w/o the noodles..try some homemade stuff if you can. I know our choices are VERY limited during this time..but it's part of the process and hopefully it will be tough enough so that we can never return to this part of our lives again. Good luck!

Wow Ruth! you look awesome. I don't come to the Florida board very much these days as the August board seems to help me figure out what my body is doing or not doing at this stage of the game. I just wanted to let you know that I'm still out here on the boards and that I am planning on attending the WLS support group on June 28th when the Plastic surgeon is giong to be there. I hope to catch up with you then. Take care, Lori 293/201/135

Hi Jo Ann, The cookbook I mentioned in another thread "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" has some good puree type recipes in it. Also has a breakdown of when you can eat each recipe .. like in the number of weeks since surgery and the amount to eat. Also a suggestion if you don't have one ... I got a "Magic" bullet machine that they advertise on TV. It makes food puree .. plan on using it when I can eat puree food. Hope this helps .. good luck!! Karen W

Thanks Karen, you're a doll!! I'm definitley going to be checking that book out A.S.A.P!!! I can really use some new ideas!! I had gotten a magic bullet for christmas last year, it worked twice then quit working on me so I exchanged it, that one didn't even work once, so I exchanged that one, and that one worked three times before quitting, so I finally returned it and just got my money back. I was all magic bullet out!!! LOL!! But that's my luck!! I do have a little gadget here though at home that puree's things quite well and I use that now. It's a shame too, cause I really did love the bullet!! Oh, well such is life!! Thanks for the info on the book!! I can't wait to check it out!! Jo Ann

Hey! I think we all hate the liquid phase of eating. I loved the Healthy choice Tomato soup with pieces in it. I just mashed up the peices and it was great. It will go by quicker than you think. I feel great and have lost 57 pounds since my surgery on March 8th. Looking back I thought I would never make it through eith of the first two stages but here I am! You will do it too! Good luck, Florence (Lynn)
