Introduce myself

Well Hello everyone!! I just wanted to come out of the lurkers closet and introduce myself. My name is Jo Ann and I live in Orlando and I just had my revision over to the RNY on 5/31/06! So I'm about 7 days out and I'm feeling absolutley WONDERFUL!! I originally had the lap band done on 7/13/05 and it had to be removed due to my body rejecting it so I went ahead after a long struggle within myself to go ahead with the revision over to the RNY. I know I'm only 7 days out but I am really happy that I decided to get this done!! It truely is a blessing!! I'm sure I'll have 50 million questions to ask as my journey progresses!! wow, i haven't talked to/with many conversions~however, reading of them online is what made me change my personal choice of lapband to gp via rny. i'm sorry things didn't go well for you with it. i'd love to hear more of your experience with lapband. anyway, welcome! from another newbie~ kas

Welcome, I just had my RNY two months ago and I still have many questions myself. If there is anything that I might can answer I will so ask anytime you need. We have all been there.

I would really like to hear your story. I have had RYN an dhave a friend that will be starting her process soon. She is leaning more towards the lap band. I want to understand why you needed a revision and the pros and cons. thanks in advance. Heather
