New to this site. It is my responsibility to get this info, (moved here from another state). Weigh****chers does a great job of hiding their phone numbers. The main one on their literature is disconnected. My BMI is 38 with 3 to 5 co-morbidities. Profile says 22, but that is incorrect. Anyone with the same challenge who could help? I'm just starting out to obtain required items for insurance company. I've been to the seminar, and to consult.

Susan I'm sorry to burst the bubble. I had a years worth of Weigh****cher's Documented Records. My insurance, Humana Gold Plus would not acept this as even though my doctor knew of the results monthly. They weren't recorded in my Medical Records or being Supervised by my Doctor. I had to Still Do a 6 Month Doctor Supervised Diet. This is not really to show you can lose weight (we all did that Yo-Yoing) It's to show everyone we can stick to a strict diet for Post-Op.

Susan- I really do not know anything about WW but it occurred to me that you could send an email to the WW corporate office and ask for the contact information. Or use the directory on their website to see if they list a different telephone number. Good luck to you. I hope you get what you need, if not let us know and we will all try to think of something else that might help you. Red http://www.weigh****chers.com/index.aspx

Susan - Welcome to the FL boards. I just want to say - that I don't understand what you are asking. I've been 6-7 years with my PCP and we spoke numerous times at different diets attempts, WW, Nutrisystem, self diets like eating diet meals and pills. I had done a month or so on WW the program and didnt' get anywhere and left due to frustration. I had doctor documentation however I guess due to my insurance I either didn't need it or had enough. Most insurance companies that I know require 3-6 month CONSECUTIVE documentation to show that you can't seem to lose the weight. I wouldn't rely just on one source....but either way - I wish you the best if that is acceptable to insurance company. Keep us posted.

Susan, WW does not keep their records very long and then, only at the local meeting location, not nationally. I had kept all my food diaries (2 years worth) but never had to submit them to my insurance co. My PCP went through my medical records and photo-copied every entry that mentioned my attempts at weight loss (and there were many!!) for a 5 year period. He had such detailed records which I'm sure helped me get approved on the first try. Ask your PCP if he would do that for you. Vickie J.
