Hi Michael,
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I also have a humana medicare advantage plan. It is the choice ppo. I did have a question for you because I am in the appeals process with humana over the new medicare changes. I see that you are having your surgery at St. Pete General and I haven't seen them on the list of Bariatric Center of Excellence. I was just curious how you got humana around this loophole. I am trying to go through tampa general which did receive their certification, my issue is a bmi of 39 which I qualify now with all my comorbidities. I have just wanted to pull my hair out with Humana but I just continue to plug along and eventually they will see I have met all their loopholes including a 10 month supervised diet.
I hope that you have a complication free surgery and are up and feeling better real soon.
