My doctor and I have discussed the need for Prilosec, he would like me on them until my 3 year then we will try and titrate off. I know I'll have to cut down on my daily coffee before we go there. Normally during the summer I cut way down on my coffee naturally, so I'll work at not picking up extra cups come fall. Should be good to go at my three year.
Good luck,
Liz

I'm 3 yrs old. Surgeon's office says it's my choice to stay on or go off Prilosec. Wondering if anyone has any reason to stay on or go off.
Also, I am just not starting Vit K 1 since I have had an adequate level thus far. I have never been on Vit E.
Everyone talks about ADEK. I was only on A and D. Just wondering the difference in treatment.

Most likely what you what you experience may be vasovagal reflex
Here is some explanation is below:
Overview of the Vasovagal Reflex
Updated December 19, 2018
Do you ever begin sweating and feel like you are going to pass out during a bowel movement? It's possible that your vagus nerve is causing this sensation and triggering your body's vasovagal response.
Common triggers include straining during a bowel movement or, for some people, the sight of blood. Either of these can be enough to send you into a fainting spell called vasovagal syncope and there are a few warning signs that lead up to it.

I have found more and more people say similar, and even shared and article. It matches exactly what happened. BUT, I still will not play with it. I will let the DR office know about it and let them at least document it. Please, at the very least, call your doctor. Passing out isn't normal, and none of us can diagnose you over the internet. If it turns out to be nothing, fine. Just don't take any chances.
