Best christmas gift fitness tracker to buy?

There is such a breadth of choice, it's difficult to know where to start, let alone make the right decision on the one best for you even after you've read all the fitness tracker reviews you can.

I use a fitbit flex 2. It's small and waterproof. It was not expensive. It doesn't do much but it is great at tracking steps/activity and that's all I wanted it to do. It keeps me honest about how much I am moving.

I have an older Apple watch that I use for some minor tracking but I got my brother a Fitbit flex2 for Christmas. I think it is a better choice for people focusing on using a tracker. One other big plus was that he can connect online with other people in the family that have fitbits and I'm hoping that "group" dynamics encourages him and the other people (wife and son) to do a little more.
