So I made the first step towards getting the ds surgery. My boss is very supportive and my insurance covers it 100%. I expect a fast recovery like my first surgery. I'm 28 now so I want to make a good attempt to exorcise this weight and focus on my real problems.

Good luck!

Are you getting the DS because you didn't get to goal or because you were regaining?

I didn't hit my goal so I want to move forward with the second half of the surgery

Good luck!  Are there DS surgeons in Phoenix?  Or are you going to California?  Just don't let anyone talk you into something else because they don't do the DS.

Dr. Juarez is the one who did my sleeve but after reading stories about his first ds switch makes me hesitate. He said he had done 30 since his first one in 2012 makes me very nervous.

He is a surgeon in Mexico right? There is another DS surgeon in Mexico Dr. U that has done 100s of DS's. The DS is very complex...and you need an experienced surgeon.

I think I remember reading that Dr. Ungson left his practice or retired recently..

P.S.  Just googled him - seems like he's still practicing.  I may have been thinking of someone else.

Good decision! We are seeing new people all the time wanting/needing to revise from other, less effective operations to the DS. You are not alone. Just make sure, as Patty said, that you have a good surgeon experienced with the DS.
