Protein absorption
Your right. I realized that I was getting weak and dizzy and it was because I wasn't getting enough protein in. I will actually get shaky if I don't eat enough. I grab protein shake and drink it with short quick sips. If I gulp it, I get sick from it. I also noticed I lose more weight if I drink 70-90gm of lean protein. It's hard for me to do on a regular basis but I never drink less than 45gm per day. I have to do better!
I was digging deep into the protein issue on the ASMBS website because I have struggled with low protein numbers despite eating plenty of protein. They specifically said it was a myth and it came from most WLS patients aren't capable of eating more than 30g at a time.
