Protein absorption
It's junk science that anything over 30g of protein is wasted.
If you have a DS especially you'd need a ridiculous amount to even come close to any theoretical "protein limit." What is true is that a typical unaltered digestive system is thought to absorb 5-10g per hour. That doesn't mean that the rest goes poof; it actually takes quite some time to digest things, and eventually, yes, it all gets absorbed. How/if the protein gets used for specific purposes versus getting stored is another story entirely, however with the DS I seriously doubt a huge surplus of protein ever does get stored due to the malabsorption.

Even we can double up with just the VSG. You absolutely can with the malabsorption. It will make it way easier too :)
