Doc Says I Should Take Fish Oil

My Cardiologist told me I should add fish oil to my diet, but since it's oil based I'll malabsorb most of it. That's not going to help.

Anyone know of a water soluble fish oil?

I've looked into flaxseed oil as a source of omega-3s, but flax doesn't contain the EPA and DHA that's crucial for heart health.

Thanks MajorMom, but it looks tasty, but all the calories are coming from fat and it doesn't say water soluble anywhere, so... malabsorption  :(

Yes, you will malabsorb it but whatever you get is better than nothing.  Just take it!  And on top of that, you most likely absorb more if you are further out.  It sure won't hurt you.

I'm further out and could take it but along w/ malabsorbing fats comes the loose stools which aren't much fun. There's probably nothing out there that's water soluble, but I thought I'd give my friends here at ObesityHelp a poke just in case.

Not enough fat in those to make a difference poop wise!

Vitalady always recommended Coromega. She stated that it was emulsified which made it a bit easier to absorb.

You're right about the oil.  It would be wasted on you.  Patchmd.com has an option
