Doing well after Revision from Lap band to DS
i had my revision to DS done on August 31st. I'm doing great. I haven't weighed in a week because I haven't gotten home yet. My friend & I spent the day touring San Diego today & we go home tomorrow. Dr. Alejandro Lopez & his staff at Vida Hospital we e wonderful. The staff at the Marriott in Tijuana were wonderful & the restaurant there served free broth. Overall a great experience.

I, personally, didn't have any real pain, just soreness. I would get tired fairly easily but a short rest took care of that. I mainly had some problems getting up from the bed for the first week. As I said, I was touring San Diego 5 days after surgery. I would be very careful about doing any major lifting for 2 or 3 weeks. Maybe someone can help you with that since your children are small.

Is your insurance going to pay for your surgery? Mine wouldn't for several reasons, one being that I had already had one bariatric surgery. I went to Mexico and had mine done. Much, much cheaper if you have to self-pay and the doctor and hospital were great.
