Carbs....
You can do chia seeds by themselves. I'd dump a tablespoon or so in my mouth, and just drink them down. a couple of tablespoons will really help to firm you up. Lots of water too. I think each chia seed absorbs up to 29% of their weight, mostly mine are done in the intestine, as food doesn't stay long in my tummy.
As for carbs only counted a little early out. It was more important for me to get my protein in. If you can eliminate most of the carbs and replace with protein, it's pretty effective. Meat, cheese, jerky, fish. Nuts, I just eat and don't worry about the carbs as I'm just counting protein. Plus, they help to fill you up.
