Do you think if you ate more, the DS would deal with the extra calories. I'm a little confused why so many people eat so little after the DS. I would expect you could eat a lot of high nutrition foods & fats with little weight consequence.
e.g. - You eat a pint of Ben & Jerrys every day and only gain on 10% of it.
I eat less in a sitting because my tummy is so much smaller now. However, I do graze all day. I wish my choices were better and instead of the cookie I reached for a hard boiled egg, or cheese stick.
one hard and fast rule I do stick with 99% of the time is " No carbs before noon". I count carbs not calories.
you are right that if you stick to DS friendly food your weight should maintain, but everyone's experience is different. This whole experience is trial and error.
if I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's I wouldn't care about the weight gain because the sugar and carbs would give me gas so bad, I'd be in horrific pain.
