Tricia, good for you for working on your D before things get really bad!

Ii also started wtih 50,000/day and found that it just wasn't enough for me. I've been on 100,000/day for years now and my D level has been steady in the mid 50's. I suspect I will need at least this much D supplementation for the rest of my life, and I'm ok with that. It's well worth the extra vitamins to live with the benefits of the DS.

Tricia,

I take mine in the middle of night (all my dry vits - A, D, & E).  50k at night keeps me between 80-120.  When I was taking 3-50k during the day with my other vits and w/food, my levels kept dropping.  Night time works for me.

Thanks, Chris, for sharing your experience.

I have MAJOR sleep problems so need to limit any disruptions but if I can make that work, it sounds like a great idea. It definitely sounds like I should try separating it (& maybe the other dry vitamins) out totake away from other vitamins & food.
