Bounce back

Hi all, I've been reading posts here for a while and I keep hearing about bounce back and it scares me.  I'm at my goal weight of 135 down from highest weight of 316 and I'm about 15 months out from my surgery.  What causes the bounce back?  How can I avoid it or can it be avoided?

Best advice is to watch the scales and take action as soon as you start to see a little bounce up. Keep things low carb and try to control your portion sizes as your stomach starts to stretch over time.

Bounce back is when your body comes to a comfortable weight that requires little effort.  This is usually 15-20% higher than the lowest weight.  I'm 10 yrs out and started regaining a little my third year, but I'm still only at 15% bounceback, so I don't mind.  I'd rather be happy here than constantly fight my weight.  I had a lifetime of that.  I'm done with that period in my life.

I'm also almost 3 years out and my bounce back has been 15%. I can easily maintain my current weight. While I would like to get down 5 more pounds, I'm happy with where I am
