Exactly why we have to be diligent and stay on top of our lab work. I personally get mine done every 6 months and adjust as necessary.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that her surgeon said she just needed a multivitamin. This is exactly why so many people preach taking control of your own health. Insist on the tests you require and track the results yourself.

If she was following the surgeons recommendations he should be sued. Even the ASMBS does better than that and they are at the bare minimum. Plus where were the followup labs - ADK are all potential issues with the DS.
