Taking Pills - Swimmers and Sinkers!

I finally figured out that if I divide my pills into Swimmers, i.e. capsules that float in a big gulp of water and Sinkers, i.e. solid pills that sink, then I never have any issues.

I've always been able to take handfuls of pills at the same time, but every once in a while I would have a pill go down wrong and that just sucks.  But since I've been dividing them, no problems at all.

You guys may have already figured that out, but perhaps there are others as clueless as me...

I had no idea. How did you determine which is which?

If you can twist it apart, it is a capsule.  Which means there is a lot of air inside as well as a generally a powder.  The air is what makes it float.

If it is solid, i.e. if you hit it with a hammer and it didn't smoosh, then I think of that as a pill, which has no room for air, which means it will sink.

Normal people might also take capsules filled with oil, but those don't work for us, so no worries!
