No gas for weeks!

Hi everyone.

I'm 7 years out. For 7 years I've had the gas issue and bubble guts. The past few weeks, my stomach has been calm and no gas. I've been eating pretty bad and that's a whole other issue but my question is why?

I'm nervous maybe I'm absorbing more and my body is normal again. Can someone weight in on this?

Thanks!

You could be absorbing more or it may just be the calm before the storm. Keep us posted.

Calm before storm? So you've had this?

I've never had it happen for weeks at a time, only days. I'm 8 years out and still depend on large doses of probiotics. I might go 2 days of no issues but then everything goes back to normal and I need probiotics badly.

I was just on a zpack. Could that have anything to do with it?

Most definitely. Antibiotics may clear up intestinal bacteria for a time. Some people are lucky enough for a round of antibiotics to keep them clear of gas for several months. If you're clear now, I would add probiotics, if you aren't on them now, to help the gas free time last longer.
