I've always marveled at how nurses and teachers get everything done to support their DSs. You guys are incredible!  I wouldn't worry too much about "real" food and 3 "meals" a day. Do your best and carry proteiny snacks with you so you can nibble when you get a chance. Protein bars such as Quest and JayRobb are healthy choices too. Nuts and seeds are also good options as well as your string cheese. 3 protein shakes a day is awesome too.

For some reason, it is showing me that I copy and pasted your original post as my post....weird! Obviously you knew what I actually said :) Good ideas, so far I've tried cashews in small amounts and it hasn't given me any problems, so maybe I'll try that first. The reason I'm disappointed about ONLY getting 3 shakes is because the NP at my surgeon's office says her goal for me right now is to get 4 in each day. I had been doing completely fine with that when I was unemployed, but now its more complicated!

Chocolate protein smoothie w/ HWC, coconut almond mil**** splash of coffee syrup

fluids: 80 oz

I had a great day and spent much of the afternoon holding the youngest grandbaby while he slept. He won't be this restful for long, so I was getting in my cuddle time.  :)
