Had DS back in 2008 now ferritin level is super high

Update: I went to the hematologist last week. He believes that the problem is caused by over-supplementation. I am going to have 5 phlebotomies and then retest my blood. He stated that organ damage is unlikely because my ferritin level was below 1000 and was short term.

Why the NP at the weight clinic continued to tell me to take iron, I don't know. They'll be getting a letter from me. (Not that it will do any good.)
