Which vitamins to have ready...
Sorry for all of the questions everyone, but thank you soooo much for all of the incredible information and wisdom.
Which vitamins should I have ready for when I return from the hospital? Should I purchase the vitalady DS pack or buy basics and wait to see which vitamins that I am going to need after my first labs? Strengths, types, brands would be helpful to know also.
I am trying to have everything ready when I get home so that I won't be scrambling to either order or run out for them.
Thank you all again!
I would get the VL starter pack but the first month I would only take 2 multies, 1,200mg of calcium, 50,000 dry vitamin D3, and whatever you might be really low on right now. You can buy her vitamins in individual bottles if you wanted to start slow and build up to the full regimen. VL regime is like a preemptive strike, you don't wait to see what you're low on to start it. You can rest assured after a few weeks or months of the DS you're going to be malabsorbing like gang busters and you'll need those vitamins and minerals.

You might find it a slog to start the Vitalady regime right off the bat. You might look for some chewable multi's and maybe
something like Upcal-D for the calcium (powder). Vits are not a super concern the first 4 - 6 weeks so just do what you can and then
move into something more extensive as you heal. B12 sub-lingual too (500mg).
Some of this can be based on your pre-op levels. If you are low on anything pre-op Vit D? for most of us you might want to add those
sooner rather than later and then adjust according to your post-op labs.
