What about probiotics and weightloss?

I've posted my struggles here to take off the gained 15-20 lbs. that I've recently put on and can't get off, and I've been thinking what's different?  Besides being a year older :(, I've stopped taking probiotics.

Could that play a part?

I'd suspect that the probiotics won't affect weight, just gas.  I'd say that bounce back is due to your sleeve being older/able to fit more in, your intestines absorbing more calories and probably some dietary relaxation - I know I'm not as strict as I was for the first 6 months.

*ETA if anyone does know of any correlation between probiotics and weight, I'm all ears.

I don't take probiotics bc it clogs me up and I'm losing a ton of weight!?!

OK I googled it and what came up was some small study that people who took probiotics did lose a small amount more weight than those who didn't.  They suspect because they help you digest more efficiently.  Of course they were not DS patients, so who knows.

I guess at 4 1/2 years out I have to accept this a bounceback and be grateful!  Which I am everyday!

Thanks for your replies.  :)
