That's great to hear,  I think we all want to get to the point where the DS fades into the background. I did my research pre-op but it still didn't prepare me for when it was actually my life in the balance. I found myself wanting to ask the same questions about vitamins that I had already read about in a zillion areas.

There is something more comforting, for me, about hearing from people you have gotten used to on-line as opposed to reading through the archive to review threads from people that may no longer be active.

I think that is part of the reason newbies go over much of the same ground even though they may have already seen the answers in the archive. IMHO.

I've made it private a long time ago. Back in the day there were "turf wars" with other surgery boards..and things got NASTY! lol Besides, i only keep it because it is a memory of who I was and where I've been. Sorry about that.
