Happy Friday Everyone. - Noreen I have some questions for you if you don't mind. I am wondering when you had your surgery and if your just on maintenance? I noticed that you eat sweets and wondered how they affect your body? I also eat somewhat like you, I started my journay at 353 and am down to 217 -215 on most days now. I am 9 years out.

Bites:

Strawberry shake

protein bar

1/2 Denver and mushroom soup with crackers

1 doughnut and tea

pork rinds

1 piece fish and 2 perogies with sour cream

piece of kielbasas

some slices of cucumber

a diet Pepsi

Vites: all in

Exercites: 50 min in my basement working out

Feelings: better - kind of up and down, it should be a better day today.

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.

Don't mind any questions. We learn for each other, right?

I am 4.5 yrs out. I guess I'm in maintenance mode now.  My body settled at 157 for a little under 3 yrs. now I stay  around 167. I practice yoga. Stand when I can, and try vey hard to avoid the elevators at work.  Since I work in a high rise, this is easy. I frequently run/trot down the stairs, 16 flights. Notice I said, "down ". LOL. My max for walking upstairs is 5 flights at one time.

i can eat sweets. Not too much at one time. A cupcake must be eaten in half, two separate events.  If I was to eat the entire cupcake all at once, I think my stomach would explode. Or, I would be so miserable, I'd wi**** would explode.

if the scale creeps up, 2 or 3 lbs, I just back down the amount of jun****il the scale moves down.  I also become much more active. 

Don't know if I've found my sweet spot, or if it will get harder as time goes on.  What has been your experience ?

lol  Poor thing. Bless her heart and all that. I'm so glad she's a beautician and not a brain surgeon. She may be a good candidate for political office though.  ;)

Funny thing is, I didn't even know we had a president in the UK, much less Barraco Barner... it made me smile, so we need folk like her to cheer us up!! ;-)

Meetings should schedule walk-abouts or stand-up-and-stretch breaks and sessions.  We used to joke at the Pentagon that our work stations should be stationary bikes with laps tops.
